    About

Originally formed in 2006 Call Of Charon are one of the senior German deathcore bands.

Enhanced by the most influential producers of the genre (Tue Madsen, Zack Ohren) the band also collaborated with well-known artists like CJ McMahon (Thy Art Is Murder), Frankie Palmeri (Emmure), Jamie Hanks (I Declare War) or Henri Sattler (God Dethroned). Their last three regular releases earned top reviews all over the world. From "record of the year" awards to overwhelming positive critics, professional journalists agree in the bands potential!

Sold out records and hundred thousands streams of songs & music videos underline the ever growing fan base of the band. From headlining club shows, to support slots for touring scene heavyweights like Thy Art is Murder, Dying Fetus or Napalm Death to festival gigs (f.e. Dong Open Air, Rage Against Racism, Mahlstrom Open Air) Call Of Charon played more than 150 live shows.

Since 2019 Call Of Charon is signed to Massacre Records and distributed by Soulfood Music. To shorten the waiting time for their second long player and without further ado, Call Of Charon release a new five-song EP "The Sound Of Sorrow" on December 2nd, 2022.

"The Sound Of Sorrow" consistently continues the uncompromising nature of the last album, but also comes up with a few surprises: For the first time ever, the band recorded a cover song and provide German lyrics to one of their tracks. Along with Jamie Hanks (I Declare War) and Jenni Gornicki (formerly Convictive) providing guest vocals, Tue Madsen (Heaven Shall Burn, Suicide Silence) delivers a powerful production.

Set to live up to their reputation of being the torchbearers of modern Death Metal after releasing two EPs, two split albums, one full length record and a compilation, Call Of Charon is just about to start the songwriting for their second LP.
